Part Two

CHAD RECIEVES NO RECORD FOR COCAINE CHARGES

When Chad had his record handled and got out of prison he pretty much went back to life as usual. His wife had waited for him and he moved back in with her upon his release. After he got out he went back to school to further his education. He went to graduate school and got a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree.
When he graduated, he got a very good position with an architecture firm. He started making a lot of money. His wife was very successful in her avenue of work as well and before long they became pretty wealthy. They bought a beautiful home together and had a happy marriage.
When Chad was in prison he had made a decision that he was not going to use or sell cocaine ever again. He felt that he had learned his lesson and never wanted any more to do with the stuff. When he got out he would drink occasionally, but nothing like he had before his incarceration. He was scared strait for a few years.

CHAD STARTS USING METHAMPHETAMINE
After a few years of being very successful in his business, Chad began to feel like he deserved to party more. A friend of his that he worked with at the time would use methamphetamine and told Chad that it was a lot like cocaine, but better. Chad became very curious about meth and felt that if he tried it, it would not go against his decision to use cocaine. He had really like cocaine and was eager to try something that was similar to the cocaine but not actually cocaine. He tried it and started to use is quite frequently. Right around this time he also began to drink more heavily as well.
Right as Chad was becoming more and more of an addict, his wife discovered that she was pregnant. He was very excited about the prospect of a child and felt that their life was at a very good point for them to bring a new baby into the world.
Chad proved to be a very devoted father and was very proud of his new son. He would take the baby to the park when his wife needed a break and was always very involved in the raising of his family. Having a new baby began to give Chad a new perspective on life.

CHAD QUITS METH STARTS USING ADDERALL

After the birth of his first son, Chad made a decision that he did not want to use any drugs that were illegal. He was afraid of getting into trouble and did not want to put his son or wife at risk of embarrassment that would come if he got arrested for possession.
He decided that he was not going to use methamphetamine any more. He had heard that there was a legal drug that worked in the same way, but was not quite as strong. It was called Adderall. He went to a doctor and told him that he felt that he was suffering from ADD and it was affecting his ability to work. He said that he had heard that there was this drug, Adderall that could help his concentration. The doctor was very cooperative and gave him a very heavy prescription for the drug.
Chad said that the prescription was so large that he could never have taken all that was prescribed to him. He said his hair would have been standing on end and he would have felt like a madman. He said that although the Adderall was not as strong as meth it still served to give him the amped up feeling that he was looking for. He said that he always took it by mouth, never snorted it.
CHADDS MARRIAGE BEGINS TO DETERIORATE

Although Chad quit using methamphetamine, he did not quit drinking. His drinking actually got worse. His wife began to get upset by the drinking and they started arguing over it.
They had two more children in the meanwhile and because of that, they tried to get along and have a good marriage. Chad would try to quit drinking but he had been doing it for so long that he just did not feel normal when he would go too long without a drink.
His wife tried to be understanding, but he was very drunk by bedtime every night and that began to try her patience. He was not able to function in a healthy manner in their relationship. After years of trying to make it work, but feeling like she was getting nowhere, Chad’s wife finally followed for divorce.
CHAD GETS A DIVORCE AND GOES TO REHAB

Once Chad realized that his wife was serious and he was going to lose his family to his addiction, he really made an effort to stop drinking. Once he was divorced, his family came to him and did an intervention. They took him to a detox center, which he followed with an outpatient rehab. He stayed clean for a good sixty days, but his physical addiction had gotten to the point where being sober felt unbearable to him physically. Chad’s body had begun to be dependent upon the alcohol the way a heroin addict’s body is dependent upon heroin. He was unable to feel healthy and well without alcohol.
He relapsed and went back to his doctor and told him he was really stressed out. His doctor prescribed Chad xanax. Within a month of his prescription he overdosed on xanax and alcohol and woke up in the hospital. He realized he needed another type of help and he needed it fast or he was going to end killing himself.
CHAD FINDS NARCONON
Chad began researching rehabs on the internet and found a program called Narconon. He realized that this was the rehab that was really going to help him. When he got to Narconon, physically Chad was a mess. He said that the Narconon Detox Program probably saved his life. It helped him to release all the toxins that had been stored in his fatty tissue over the years from using the drugs and alcohol. He said once he finished it, he felt physically well again, and in fact good. He said that the Narconon Detox Program gave him the feeling he was looking for when he was drinking.
He said that that was why Narconon worked where other programs had not. It had freed his body from the physical cravings, so he could deal with the mental and emotional issues that were also a very major part of his addiction. Chad has been clean for almost five years now. The longest he had ever been clean before he went to Narconon, was sixty days. He is doing very well in his life and is now able to be friends with his ex-wife.

Newsflash

Alcohol abuse and dependency is a very severe problem in this country today. There are many Americans who are on the borderline with their alcohol intake, perhaps because the level of stress in the average American life has gone up quite a bit in the last ten years. People, who become addicted to alcohol, usually do so because there is some problem that they feel unable to handle in their life. Because of this they resort to alcohol to help numb their negative emotions and to get their mind off of their problems for a while. The thing is that when the person comes off of the alcohol, they no longer feel better about whatever it was that was going on; in most cases they usually actually feel worse.
When a person becomes an alcoholic, what usually happens is instead of the person finally getting to the point where they are like “Ok I need to fix this problem now and get everything together and get on the ball,” the person continues to try to drink all their problems away. This does nothing for actually fixing the problems that they are encountering; instead it usually makes them much worse and actually adds more problems to the person’s plate.
