Narconon And Drug Addiction

Narconon and Drug Addiction Part Two

What usually happens when a person gets out of treatment with the full intention of staying sober and then relapses is pretty simple. When the person is in rehab they are in a controlled environment where they know what to expect on a day to day basis. They start to feel better and the usually do not have a lot of contact with the outside world and so they are protected from stressful situations. They really do start feel a lot of confidence and hope for their future and often really believe that they want to and are going to stay sober.

Then the person gets out and they have to deal with the real world. They usually have to go back to work, or back to their family or back to whatever situation it is that they were in before. Their environment is no longer controlled by anyone except themselves and there is no protection from stress. When the person gets exposed to a stressful situation, often times their body will go on fight or flight mode and they will burn some of their fatty tissue to give them energy. When fat is released into the system, it appears that often,  drugs metabolites are often released into the system as well. These travel in the bloodstream back to the brain. The drug metabolites are often not strong enough to cause the person to get high in these circumstances, but they are often strong enough to cause a severe craving in the person. The person is especially vulnerable in this kind of situation because they are stressed out and they are having a severe craving for the drug of their choice. If they are a severe addict, the solution that they usually have for stress is to get high. This can be an automatic response for them. Once a severe addict gets the thought of using in their head, there is usually nothing that will stop them from doing so.
Narconon Treatment

The Narconon program is the only program in the world that addresses this aspect of addiction, as well as all the other aspects of addiction. The physical aspect of addiction is handled through the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program. In this part of the Narconon program the person takes a specific regimen of vitamins and minerals in addition to oils and a fatty substance called lecithin. In this particular regimen, the person takes a specific B vitamin called Niacin. Niacin acts as a blood detoxifier. The person takes the vitamins in the morning after eating a good breakfast. After they take their vitamins, they then do a light aerobic exercise. This is to get the drug metabolites released back into the blood stream and get the Niacin delivered deep down in all the tissues of the body. Once the person exercises they then get into a dry heat sauna. This is to make the person sweat. They also drink a lot of water while they are sweating in the sauna. The reason that they do this is to push the stored drug metabolites out of the system through sweating. As stated before, this is one of the main ways that a person’s body has to rid itself of accumulated toxins. The Niacin that the person takes also greatly assists in this process. The person takes oils and lecithin in the evening to replace the fat that they are burning in the day as an exchange process; in with the new and out with old. This also prevents the person’s body from slowing down its metabolism and causing the person to gain weight.

Emotional and Social Aspects of Addiction

About seventy percent of the people who have completed the Narconon New Life Detoxification program said that they no longer suffered from physical cravings once they finished this phase.
The detox is the first phase of the Narconon program. The reason for this is because a person will have a much easier time dealing with the other aspects of their addiction if they are not constantly thinking about getting drugs.

Once the person finishes this phase, they then address the other aspects of their addiction. They do this through a series of self cognitive courses. Each one of these courses is designed to address a different ability that a person needs to function in life. One of the main reasons that a person becomes a drug addict is because they usually do not have the ability to deal with life. They feel that drugs help them to cope, but in actuality they are really using drugs as a way to ignore the problems that are going on around them. It is a way to numb the confusion and pain that they are feeling over not being able to handle life and all the responsibilities that go along with it.

Each one of the Narconon courses addresses a different ability that most people who are struggling with drug abuse are lacking. The first course helps a person learn how to communicate with others effectively and also helps them to handle negative communication in a positive way. The next course helps the person deal with negative people and learn how to keep them out of their life. The person then learns how to take responsibility for the misdeeds that they committed in their life and that they feel bad about. Then the person learns how to make up the damage done in all areas of their life and also learns how to continue to improve all these areas once they have made up the damage. The person then learns a good moral foundation and how to incorporate it into their life. The person then makes a solid plan of what they need to do once they leave the Narconon program. This may include where they are going to work and what people they should keep communication with and which ones they should not.
Basically most drug addicts are playing the game of life without knowing the rules. The Narconon program teaches them the rules and how to play to succeed. It is almost like a school teaching people how to live life without drugs. Narconon has a seventy six percent success rate.
