Narconon Found to be Effective Treatment for Bath Salt Addiction Part Six

bigstock_Addiction_4893680.jpgThis is an article focused on a new addiction that many people across the globe are suffering from. This is an addiction to a new line of designer drugs that are legally bought all over the world and labeled as “bath salt” or “plant food”. The chemicals in these drugs are supposed to mimic the effects of either cocaine, ecstasy, or methamphetamine. Each different brand of these drugs is supposed to have a different effect. Yet, on the label of the packet they are sold in, it says “Not for Human Consumption”. But the people that are selling them and the people that are buying know the reason for the purchase and it is not to try a new kind of salt in their bath.

Recent reports have stated that people who are addicted to these chemicals have been suffering from sever psychosis in some cases. There have been reports of individuals becoming quite violent with no apparent reason. Addiction to these drugs can be quite severe and quite fast to develop. The rest of this article is dedicated to one man who became addicted to these bath salts and the suffering he endured as a result. We will discuss how he found Narconon to treat this very serious addiction and how he is doing today.

Tommy’s Family Begins to Suspect a Problem

As Tommy’s hallucinations began to get more and more severe, Tommy began to become really worried that his elderly neighbor was trying to stalk and harass him. After Tommy called the police and the police told him that there was nothing that they could do, Tommy called his father to come and investigate. Tommy’s dad lived about twenty miles away from where Tommy lived and within half an hour he was at Tommy’s house to see what was going on. Tommy asked him to look under the house to see where the supposed attackers had come up through the floor. His father was unable to find anything, the same as the police. Tommy said that there was probably a trap door in the floor somewhere and that he was sure that with enough searching it would be found. Tommy’s father began to really become concerned about his son at this time and wondered why Tommy was acting so crazy. Tommy’s father was an alcoholic, but this behavior was even too extreme for him to handle.
Tommy’s father then contacted Tommy’s mother and the two discussed the problem. At some point it came to light that Tommy was using the new designer drugs and after a while Tommy’s parents confronted him about the use.

Tommy told his parents that there was no problem, that the drug was actually legal in most states and that he was able to function fine with it. His parents did not agree, but they also did not know what to do about the situation; Tommy was forty five years old.

Hallucination Go From Bad to Worse

Tommy’s delusion began to get really bad. He started to hear things through his radio and television. He thought that his neighbor that he thought was stalking him had somehow been able to take over his T.V. and radio and play songs through it, songs that were taunting him. Tommy did not know how much more harassment he could take. Tommy later admitted to having violent urges toward the man just to handle the situation. Tommy was getting desperate to fix a situation that he did not realize did not exist. His hallucinations were as real to him as his own body was. He did not realize that from that much lack of sleep and food psychosis can result. It was really tragic.

Tommy Goes to Insane Asylum

Tommy drove up to Atlanta to visit his kid and to buy more bath salt because he had run out. He went to his son’s house and while he was there, the kid’s girlfriend told him that she really wanted him to leave. Tommy got really offended and did not understand why she was asking him to go. She said she just did not feel comfortable around him and that it would just be better if he left. Tommy protested again and then she told him that if he did not leave she was going to call the police. Tommy finally agreed to leave and as he was walking out to his car a police car pulled up.
Tommy looked at the car and decided that the people in the car in no way were the police. He figured that his kid’s girlfriend must have called some of her friends and put them up to it just to mess with him. The “fake” cops got out of their car and approached Tommy as he was going to his. Tommy then “confirmed” his suspicions. One of the cops sock were showing from out of the bottom of his trousers. No real cop would wear pants that did not fit perfectly. Tommy was onto their “charade.”

Tommy then proceeded to tell the two officers that he had no interest in talking to them and he would be happy to talk to the real police if they would be so good as to call them. The two officers looked at each other in amazement and told Tommy that they would really appreciate it if he would cooperate and come with them down to the station for a while. Tommy said that he would be happy to go with them if they were real police officers, but since they were not he was not going to go anywhere with them. The cops then tried to arrest him by force but Tommy fought them with everything he had. After a pretty epic battle between arrestor and arrestee, the cops were finally able to put Tommy into the car. They then took him down to the local psych ward where they told the physicians there that Tommy was either suffering from delusions due to drug abuse or he was crazy. Continued in Part Seven

Newsflash

Alcohol abuse and dependency is a very severe problem in this country today. There are many Americans who are on the borderline with their alcohol intake, perhaps because the level of stress in the average American life has gone up quite a bit in the last ten years. People, who become addicted to alcohol, usually do so because there is some problem that they feel unable to handle in their life. Because of this they resort to alcohol to help numb their negative emotions and to get their mind off of their problems for a while. The thing is that when the person comes off of the alcohol, they no longer feel better about whatever it was that was going on; in most cases they usually actually feel worse.
When a person becomes an alcoholic, what usually happens is instead of the person finally getting to the point where they are like “Ok I need to fix this problem now and get everything together and get on the ball,” the person continues to try to drink all their problems away. This does nothing for actually fixing the problems that they are encountering; instead it usually makes them much worse and actually adds more problems to the person’s plate.
