One Mans Tale of Addiction; Robert’s Story Part Three
 
This is part three of the story of a man we are calling Robert. Robert was addicted to heroin for most of his adult life and ruined many relationships due to his addiction. This is the story of Robert’s addiction and how he eventually went to the Narconon Program and got his life together and repaired many of the relationships that he lost.
 
The last that we heard of Robert he had just punched a police officer in the face. The cops then grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. They jerked his hand back and one of the cops stepped on it and broke two of his fingers. They then handcuffed him and put him in the back of the police car.
 
When he got to the station he told the police officers that were booking him that he needed to see a doctor because two of his fingers were broken. One of the cops looked at his hand and told him that he could set his fingers for him. Robert agreed to let him and the cop yanked on his fingers and they went even more out of place. As Robert howled in pain, the cop laughed and said “Sorry, I guess I didn’t really know what I was doing.” Robert then stayed in jail for the next six months for a violation of probation. While he was locked away, his girlfriend gave birth to his second son. When he got out again he moved back in with his girlfriend and their son. Within a year she was pregnant again, this time with a little girl.

In this article we are going to discuss why the Narconon program works so well.
 
The Anatomy of Addiction
 
Drug addiction can appear to be a very complex problem. The people that are addicted usually have a lot of complex problems, or at least it often feels that way to the individual. The basic reason that people use and get addicted to drugs is because they are running away from some type problem or pain that they are unable to confront and handle. Drugs seem like the perfect solution to them because when someone gets high they usually, at least temporarily, are able to ignore the negative things that are going on around them.
This can turn into a really viscous cycle and the person may not realize it at the time. When a person is using drugs, life is going to keep going on around them whether they like it or not. When a person is distracting themselves from a certain upset or problem by using drugs and taking a time out on life, often there are other problems that are being created while they are doing this.
Once the person comes off of the drug they can often find that there are now a whole new list of problems that need to be handled and the person can then become overwhelmed. At this point the person usually has one of two options. One, they can buckle down, do what they have to do to fix whatever it is that is going on and survive, or two, they can say forget it, I cant deal with it and I don’t want to think about it. I am just going to go get high instead. This basically is the anatomy of drug addiction.

Tessa’s Story Chapter Five

bigstock_Addiction_4893680.jpg This is Chapter five in a story about a girl we are calling Tessa. Her real name is not being used to protect her identity. She went through the Narconon drug rehab program and this is the story of how she came to go there and how she did once she completed the program.

 Tessa Goes to her First Rehab           

Once Tessa’s mother found out about the fact that she had tried to leave with another patient in the detox she decided that Tessa needed to go to rehab far away from home. It needed to be a rehab with a good reputation. Tessa’s mother and the rest of her family decided that the best place for Tessa to go would be a rehab called Sierra Tucson in Arizona. The program was on a beautiful sight and one could tell from the surroundings that it cost a pretty penny to attend.
The program was a thirty day deal and Tessa was one of the youngest people in the program. The other drug addicts told her that she was not really a heroin junky because she did not use needles. By the time that Tessa left, she was less serious about trying to get clean than she was the day she arrived.
When Tessa went home, her boyfriend picked her up from the airport. She immediately went with him upon arriving home to go get heroin.

One Mans Tale of Addiction; Robert’s Story Part Four
 
This is the story of a man we are calling Robert. He was addicted to heroin for most of his adult life until he was went to Narconon Drug Rehabilitation and finally got clean. This is part four of this story.
He let his new girlfriend stay in his house and she watched his son for him most of the time. He also dated a few other girls simultaneously and rented them places to stay as well. He was making a lot of money. He met one girl and really liked her a lot. They had a lot of fun together, but she was very possessive. He said that he ended up having to break up with her because she did not want him to have anything to do with the children he already had. She said that she wanted him to have children with her but she would not feel comfortable doing so if he had to spend time with his other kids. They broke up shortly there after. Robert continued to date the three or four other girls and stayed in this situation for a few years.
